Immerse yourself in the stunning natural beauty and diverse wildlife of Tarangire National Park
Witness the breathtaking landscapes and abundant wildlife at Ngorongoro Crater
Experience the unique ecosystem surrounding Lake Manyara
Embark on an unforgettable adventure through three iconic destinations in northern Tanzania – Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara. This three-day safari will take you deep into the heart of Africa’s wilderness, where you can witness incredible wildlife sightings and marvel at the stunning landscapes.
Pick up from your accommodation in Arusha at 08.30am and drive on tarmac road 120 km to Tarangire National Park (2,850 sq. km) for game drives. It’s the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem. The swamps, tinged green year round, are the focus for 550 bird varieties, the most breeding species in one habitat anywhere in the world.
After lunch continue with afternoon game viewing in the park, a home to Lion, Leopard, and Elephant, Buffalo, Python, Zebra, Oryx, Impala and more. On drier ground you can see the Kori Bustard, the heaviest flying bird; the stocking-thigh Ostrich, the world’s largest bird; and small parties of ground Hornbills blustering like Turkeys. Bird-lovers might keep an eye open for screeching flocks of the dazzlingly colorful yellow-collared lovebird, and the somewhat drabber Rufus-tailed weaver and ashy Starling. Dinner and overnight at campsite.
Meals – Lunch (box or packed) and dinner
Wake up early morning for breakfast and then at 7 am, drive to Ngoro Ngoro Crater where you will descend into the Crater floor (19.2 km of diameter, 610m deep, 304 sq. km) for game drives. All the Big five Rhino, Lion, Leopard, Buffalo and Elephant live in this wonderful caldera, and many more mammals. Birds include Flamingos on the Soda Lake, Geese, Storks, Vultures and more. Break for lunch at Ngoitoktok spring Picnic site. Ngorongoro Crater is often called ‘Africa’s Eden’ the ‘8th Natural Wonder of the World’. A massive extinct volcano, its towering tree lined walls drop thousands of feet to a “Noah’s Ark” of animals on the verdant floor below. This breathtaking oasis provides a haven for both predator. Nowhere else can such a diversity in wildlife be experienced in such a short period of time. Dinner and overnight at panorama campsite.
Meals – Breakfast, lunch (box or packed) and dinner
After early breakfast, you will drive to the Lake Manyara National Park. This small park is a paradise for serious and amateur bird-lovers as this small park is home to over 400 species of birds, including Flamingos, Pelicans, Storks and Cormorants. Many mammals, such as Bushbucks, Waterbucks, Wildebeests, Zebras, Baboons, Monkeys, Lions and Leopards can be seen roaming the forest and the acacia-dotted plains of the park. You will have an unhindered view of the surroundings as the safari vehicle’s roof can open up to allow you the best angle for photography. After an extensive game drive in the park you will leave the park in the afternoon.
