Upon arriving in Moshi, Tanzania's vibrant gateway town at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, you'll be warmly welcomed by your guide. Spend some time relaxing and preparing for your adventure ahead. Attend a pre-trek briefing where your guide will provide essential information about safety measures, equipment needed, and an overview of each day's trekking activities. Rest well to prepare yourself for the exciting days ahead.
After breakfast, we drive to Marangu Gate (1,860m) where we complete registration formalities before starting our hike. The trail winds through lush rainforests filled with exotic plant life such as ferns and moss-covered trees. Keep an eye out for monkeys swinging from tree branches!

We start our summit attempt around midnight when it is still dark outside. Armed with headlamps and determination, we ascend through steep switchbacks on loose scree towards Gilman's Point (5,681m), where we'll witness a breathtaking sunrise over Mawenzi Peak. From there, it's another couple of hours along the crater rim until we reach Uhuru Peak (5,895m) -the highest point in Africa! After celebrating this remarkable achievement with photos and heartfelt congratulations from fellow climbers, we begin our descent back down towards Kibo Hut.
After breakfast at our now-familiar time of 07.00hrs, we take the chance to thank our hard-working guides and porters at the important ‘Tipping Celebration’. Afterwards, we depart from Horombo Huts (3720 meters) and start our descent down towards Marangu Gate (1970 meters), stopping at Mandara Hut (2700 meters) around midday for a cooked lunch.
Having reached Marangu Gate (1970 meters), you will be presented with your certificate, a fitting souvenir recognising your tremendous achievement. We then return by vehicle to Arusha, to the comfort of your lodge, for your overnight stay and some deserved relaxation. Or perhaps, if you still have some energy, you can celebrate your wonderful achievement. After all, you have just climbed Africa’s highest mountain!
